TCU’s English department is excited to welcome two new faculty members, Dr. Gabi Kirilloff and Dr. Brandon Manning.
Dr. Gabi Kirilloff specializes in Digital Humanities, New Media Studies, as well as 19th and 20th century American Literature. She’ll be teaching Intro to Digital Humanities, as well as Intro to Women’s Writing in Fall 2018. Dr. Kirilloff received her Ph.D. in English Literature from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where she was also the coordinator for the Nebraska Literary Lab, which facilitates student research in the digital humanities.
Dr. Brandon Manning specializes in 20th century African American Literature, as well as African American satire and masculinity. He’ll be teaching Satire: Black Humor and Satire in Fall 2018. Dr. Manning previously taught at the University of Nevada -Las Vegas, where he was the Director of African American Studies. He received his Ph.D. from The Ohio State University and is currently working on a book project, The Right Kind of Laughter: Black Men and Vulnerability in Post-Soul Satire.
