The AddRan Leadership Program is designed for students who are looking for advanced leadership opportunities, professional and personal development, academic recognition and lifelong friendships.

About the Leadership Program

The AddRan Leadership Program (ALP) is a selective, year-long leadership development experience for students majoring in the liberal arts. Designed for high-achieving and highly motivated students, the program prepares participants to lead with purpose, clearly communicate the value of the liberal arts, and translate academic training into meaningful professional impact through career-ready competencies.

An AddRan degree opens the door to so many various opportunities, as it is a college made up of diverse individuals who all have unique goals and potentials for future career fields. We all have vast experiences and ideas that can be collaborative and cohesive, too.

Through a cohort-based model, participants in the AddRan Leadership Program engage in advanced leadership training, professional development workshops, and career exploration experiences that intentionally develop career readiness competencies identified by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE), including leadership, communication, critical thinking, teamwork, professionalism, career and self-development, equity and inclusion, and digital literacy. Each participant is paired with a dedicated mentor who provides individualized guidance, professional insight, and long-term career support, reinforcing career readiness and leadership development beyond graduation.

Most importantly, participants build lifelong connections with peers, faculty, alumni, and professionals while strengthening the skills needed to lead in complex and evolving environments and advance the mission of the university:

The mission of Texas Christian University, a private comprehensive university, is to educate individuals to think and act as ethical leaders and responsible citizens in the global community through research and creative activities, scholarship, service, and programs of teaching and learning offered through the doctoral level.
