Congratulations to Dr. Antoinette DeNapoli, the 2018-2019 winner of the Dr. Claudia V. Camp Research and Creative Activity Award in Women and Gender Studies.  In recognition of the award, Dr. DeNapoli recently delivered a lecture entitled, “Can A Woman Be A Shankaracharya?” (September 4th in the Kelly Center).

Dr. DeNapoli’s research explores the intersections of gender, performance, and religious experience in the Hindu traditions of asceticism, mysticism, and devotion.  She is pictured (left) with Dr. Claudia Camp (right), Professor Emerita, TCU Department of Religion.
