The AddRan Pre-Law Institute will serve as a centralized hub for pre-law advising and preparatory support for both current students and alumni. The goal of the institute is to be nationally recognized for pre-law preparation, equipping students with the intellectual rigor, ethical grounding and professional skills necessary to excel in top-tier law schools and thrive in impactful legal careers.

Pre-Law Groups

Kappa Alpha Pi

Kappa Alpha Pi (KAPi) is a co-ed pre-law and government fraternity established at TCU in Spring 2024. The organization brings together motivated students interested in legal and public service careers and offers support through alumni connections, discounted LSAT prep and employer and law school information sessions.

Mock Trial

TCU Mock Trial is a student-led organization supported by AddRan and the Department of Criminology & Criminal Justice. Established in 2021, the team competes nationally by reenacting courtroom trials and has earned numerous awards, including advancing to the Opening Round Championship Series in 2025. The program now fields two competitive teams, holds annual fall tryouts and hosts the Mock Frogs Invitational each year.

Pre-Law Advising

AddRan's Political Science Department offers dedicated pre-law advising open to students from any discipline. Advisors help students navigate coursework, prepare for the LSAT and plan for law school and related career paths.

Pre-Law Society

The TCU Pre-Law Society connects students interested in pursuing law school with resources and experiences that support their journey. Members engage with guest speakers, admissions representatives and legal professionals while accessing opportunities such as practice LSATs, law school tours and admissions events.
