MA in English

Students admitted to the English master’s degree program are expected to complete 30 approved hours of study within five years of matriculation, including six hours of thesis work and as many as nine hours focused on a minor or related field of study.

Master’s students may take courses in rhetoric and composition; American, British and global literature; Latino, African-American and women’s literature; critical theory; professional writing and creative writing.

Accelerated MA in English

This degree option allows outstanding TCU undergraduates with a declared English or Writing major to earn both a BA and MA degree in five years. Students may apply for admission into the Accelerated MA in English program after earning 60 hours of undergraduate coursework. This degree option is only available to full-time students. Consult the Graduate Catalog for more information.
