Board of Visitors member Nick Morales ’14 was just four months old when his parents moved the family from Colombia to the Dallas-Fort Worth region of Texas. When it came time to attend college, Morales explored other universities in the state, but quickly fell in love with TCU.

Ada Limón, the 24th United States Poet Laureate and recipient of a 2023 MacArthur Fellowship, visited TCU’s campus in November 2023 as part of the Premier Green Chair lecture series. Limón is a Guggenheim Fellow and a recipient of the National Book Critics Circle Award for Poetry.

The National Council of Teachers of English's Conference on College Composition and Communication (CCCC) has named AddRan alumna Angela D. Mack (Ph.D. ’23) as the recipient of the 2024 CCCC James Berlin Outstanding Dissertation Award for her dissertation “Black Storytelling in Southside Funky Town, Texas: From the 76104 Zip Code to the Life and Legacy Work of Atatiana Carr-Jefferson as a Mattering of Black Life.”

U.S. News & World Report has ranked TCU No. 3 in the nation for 2024 Best Online Master's in Criminal Justice Programs, a rise of seven spots from last year’s ranking as No. 10. Since its creation in 2014, the online M.S. in Criminal Justice and Criminology Program has consistently been ranked among the nation’s best.

Professor Kara Dixon Vuic's class produced and launched “History Frogcast,” a nine-part series exploring the lives and impact of Horned Frogs during periods of conflict in American history.
