Welcome home and to a great new beginning for us at the AddRan College of Liberal Arts!
In the academic year ahead, I look forward to showing our students the value of a liberal arts education. TCU and AddRan have provided generations of students with the critical thinking and analytical skills, communication skills and cultural competence needed in today’s workforce. In turn, our students can do anything they want to do with their well-rounded degree.
Our top-notch AddRan faculty are a key part of this experience. They continue to provide students with a well-rounded education rooted in the teacher-scholar model that merges innovative teaching and research.
In AddRan, we are fortunate to have research centers that complement the liberal arts experience and support the teacher-scholar model.
-
The Center for Texas Studies investigates, promotes and celebrates Texas history and culture.
-
The Center for Digital Expression combines cutting-edge digital technology with the liberal arts.
-
The Center for Urban Studies provides critical data-driven insights to the many challenges in our cities today and builds open-source tools to allow others to do the same in their communities.
- The Center for Languages and Cultures supports the learning of critical languages such as Chinese and Arabic, as well as French, German, Japanese, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish, and promotes cultural awareness.
While we look forward to the return of in-person instruction, it's also on all of us to Protect the Purple by following public health guidance regarding COVID-19. Visit the Protect the Purple website to learn more about how we can return to campus and keep each other safe and healthy.
Again, I am excited to welcome you back to campus and AddRan!
