A student writes with a quill

History majors researched and wrote entries for the TSHA Handbook of Texas as part of the History Major Seminar with Dr. Gregg Cantrell in spring 20. The Handbook of Texas is a digital state encyclopedia that is free and accessible on the internet for students, teachers, scholars, and the general public. These essays are reviewed by one or more professional historians and are fact-checked by the Handbook’s professional staff. They now become a permanent part of the authoritative reference work on Texas history. Congratulations to Claire Dobbs, Emily Blakely, Katie Conzonire, Thomas Reckling, Corin Sowers, and Whitney Wheeler for becoming published authors!
