Madeline McCormack, English major
Class of 2025
"My involvement with the English department has fundamentally shaped my experience at TCU. The English faculty are truly invested in their students' success, and my connections with faculty have changed the way I experience learning. I have had the opportunity to pursue a number of passions through the English department, such as in my completion of an undergraduate thesis, which allowed me to combine my interest in research with my double majors in English and Women & Gender Studies. I am so grateful for the tremendous support offered by English faculty that has encouraged me to lean into my curiosities and grow through learning."

Hadley Whytlaw, English minor
Class of 2027
"I chose a minor in English because I have always loved finding meaning in words past the surface level. I am fascinated with learning how language shapes the way we see the world. Every aspect of our world, from law to business is shaped by language. As a Political Science major, my minor in English has prepared me for post-graduate life where I will spend the majority of my career writing and reading — skills I acquired through my English minor.
