The English Department provides students with resources to secure internships with the goal of gaining workplace experience while also receiving course credit.
About the work site
TCU Press has traditionally published the history, culture, and literature of Texas and the American West. As the press has grown steadily in stature and in its ability to bring credit to its parent university over the last sixty years, it has been praised for publishing regional fiction, for discovering and preserving local history, and for contributing to meaningful discussions of social issues, such as race, class, and gender.
At TCU Press, we believe books have the power to shape minds and inspire change—and we invite you to be part of that mission. Our internship program gives students the opportunity to gain hands-on publishing experience while contributing to real projects that make an impact on readers and the community.

"My experience as a TCU Press intern has been nothing short of amazing. Just nine short weeks ago, I was worried that I didn't have much to offer a business that had been open since 1947. However, this fear of mine was dissolved the moment I walked through the doors. The staff took me under their wing to make sure I not only completed my tasks but also learned while doing so. TCU Press is so much more than a publishing house; it teaches students, fosters a community, and connects people from all backgrounds through the gift of storytelling. I cannot imagine my summer spent anywhere else and will carry these memories with me for a lifetime."
