Study Abroad
Summer Program
Department professors offer faculty-led study abroad programs during the summer semester. These offerings vary, depending on faculty availability and student interest. Our current summer program in France is offered in alternating summers in conjunction with the Department of Anthropology: FREN 30173 or ANTH 30973 — France Today: Citizenship, Identity and Nationalism.
In this course students explore human migration to France through historical, political, economic, and anthropological perspectives. Students experience an intersection of migratory life and French culture through service-learning and homestays in Montpellier, a university city on the Mediterranean with a diverse population.
