Our required Internship in Criminal Justice course connects you with important contacts for future employment opportunities. You’ll work a minimum of 125 hours in the field, apply classroom knowledge in the workplace, and discover what specific career path interests you most.

CRJU 40963 – “Internship in Criminal Justice”

All Criminal Justice majors are required to take CRJU 40963 – “Internship in Criminal Justice.”

Students wishing to enroll in the Internship in Criminal Justice course must complete an Internship Application form. The application must be returned to the Internship Director, Dr. Michael Bachmann, one semester prior to enrollment.

Internships must be conducted during the semester the student is enrolled in the course.  Previous internship experience or current employment experience will not apply to the CRJU Internship course. Summer internships are permissible only under exceptional circumstances.

Students are required to take the Educational Testing Service (ETS) Major Field Exam.
