An interview with professor Rob Garnett on economics and happiness
Factoring Humanity and Happiness into Economic Calculations
In a Q&A, Rob Garnett, professor of economics, honors professor of social sciences
and associate dean in the John V. Roach Honors College, combines economics with happiness
and challenges the standard approach to economics. His courses on callings and happiness
put economics in dialogue with philosophy, sociology, psychology, anthropology and
religion. He works to craft a greater picture of what it means to be a human in an
interdependent world.
