The Mission of the Center

The Center for Languages and Cultures of the AddRan College of Liberal Arts was founded in 2018 and designed to offer a uniquely flexible hub for a variety of purposes. It is located on the third floor of Scharbauer Hall, Room 3004.

The CLC serves the TCU community through the Departments of Modern Language Studies and Spanish and Hispanic Studies by offering a physical and virtual space of dynamic, cross-cultural interactions fostering a diverse and inclusive learning and teaching space.

By presenting an array of student activities, workshops and guest speakers, the Center seeks to promote cultural inquiry and analysis, cross-cultural understanding, and a positive engagement with the global community.

The CLC promotes all language and cultures studies at TCU and provides language learning resources for students and language teaching resources for faculty.
