Study Abroad

Expand your horizons with study abroad in more than 50 countries, plus service-learning trips overseas and internships around the globe. In addition to TCU’s semester, summer and short-term programs, each summer the criminal justice department offers global opportunities for students to explore criminal justice in a comparative manner.

TCU-CJ Japan

Study Japan’s criminal justice system, culture, heritage and history in TCU-CJ Japan, a three-week program in Tokyo and Kyoto. If taken in tandem with spring course offerings, the program allows students to earn up to a nine hours in criminal justice and general elective credit.

TCU-CJ Scandinavia

Examine the criminal justice systems in Norway, Denmark and Sweden for two and a half weeks while you earn up to six credit hours in criminal justice and general electives. Activities include a tour of the Haldon Prison in Norway, a visit to criminal and appellate courts in Oslo, lectures at the University of Stockholm and Copenhagen, and a tour of Christiana commune in Copenhagen. You’ll have free afternoons to explore each city and immerse yourself in the heritage of Scandinavia.
